Jet Transition
A lot has changed in aviation in the last decade. When “commuter” airlines required upwards of 1500 hours total flight time to secure an interview, modern regional airlines will interview and hire pilots with lower total flight time. While the hour requirements have been lowered, the expectations are even higher. It is our experience that a Jet Transition Program can set you apart from another airline applicant. In order to give you a resume advantage during your airline hiring process, we have organized a Jet Transition Program.
A new hire at a commuter airline 10 years ago had the experience that came along with 1500 flight hours. Today’s new hire must step into a highly advanced, fast-paced, “all glass” jet cockpit. While we can’t instill that experience, we can significantly enhance the skill set that a modern, low time pilot acquires before applying to a regional airline.
Career Pilot School offers Regional Jet Training through our CRJ Bridge Program. This program introduces pilots to the advanced aerodynamics of swept wing jet aircraft, a thorough introduction to the complex systems, and the fundamentals of Flight Management Systems (FMS) and Engine Indication and Crew Alerting Systems (EICAS). Modern principles of Crew Resource Management (CRM) are also covered.
The CRJ Bridge course is a full immersion, 3- week course that focuses on preparing students for airline type flying on a regional jet platform. For an individual student, the price for the Jet Transition course is $8,370.00. Included in the course are:

While this course is conducted around a CRJ Regional Jet Trainer, the course is taught in a way that allows lateral transfer to any CRJ/ ERJ platform, as well as a turboprop environment. Course material is outlined in a way that is not company specific to any one air carrier, but rather, is focused around standard airline operating procedures.
